About iVirtual League Courses

Online Education is leading the way for students to be successful because students are given the opportunity to learn at their own pace in courses that interests them, without the boundaries of traditional schools. Courses offered at iVirtual League Academy are supplied through a variety of state approved content providers in order to provide your child with the courses that fit their unique learning needs. Students are provided high quality curriculum that emphasizes academic rigor and challenges students to work at their appropriate grade level.

Individualized Approach To Learning

  • Personal Learning Plan (PLP) for each student that will assess his/her skill level when he/ she enrolls in the school. Every student takes a diagnostic test in reading and math to assess their ability level and to help make decisions regarding course placement.
  • A path for growth is designed for each student which is periodically reassessed to determine skill development.
  • The PLP will ensure that the individual needs of each student are met and will provide parents the opportunity to participate in educational goal setting and monitoring of their child's academic progress.

Teacher Involvement

All teachers are highly qualified Florida certified and are subject area experts for their content area. In addition, your child will be assigned a Student Learning Advocate (SLA), a Florida Certified teacher who will help to support and guide your child throughout their online experience. This experienced professional will keep constant communication between your family and the school; proactively assist students when they are struggling with content, and engage your child with school activities and field trips.

Welcome students and parents to IVirtual League Academy. I am very excited to work with you as your SLA (Student Learning Advocate). My name is Dr. Ashlee Wood, I graduated with my B.S. in secondary education and English from the State University of New York at Oneonta, with my M.S. in K-12 education from the University of New England, and my Ph.D. in curriculum and instruction online from Capella University. I am professionally certified teacher in the state of Florida and am here to ensure that the students entering IVirtual League Academy have a successful transition into our online environment and an educational opportunity that will prepare them for success in the future.

I look forward to an exciting school year working in the community with each one of you.

Student Support Center

Being a full time online student can have an isolating effect. For this reason, making time and activities available to engage the student with the community and providing socialization, deepening understanding and academic support is the key to student and parent satisfaction. The Student Learning Center is a physical location where students can join together for small group study sessions, set appointments for one to one tutoring with a certified teacher, or work on a collaborative projects with peers. Age appropriate activities specific for the virtual student are planned throughout the school year. In addition, virtual students can take part in any enrichment activity or team sports offered through the school campus.
